Purpose and Mission
Purpose: To educate and equip athletes, parents, coaches, and scouts with the tools, wisdom, and perspective necessary to advance their careers while maintaining faith, integrity, and balance.
Mission: Participants will learn from professional scouts, college recruiters, and seasoned coaches about the ins and outs of the recruiting and development process. Parents, athletes, and coaches will discover how to support athletic dreams with patience and communication — avoiding the boundaries that can unintentionally hinder growth and opportunity.
Participant Acknowledgment and Release of Liability
By registering for and participating in the Baseball Career Advancement Convention, I acknowledge that:
1. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in athletic training, workshops, on-field evaluations, and related activities.
2. I release, discharge, and hold harmless John Melvin Institute of Sports Science (JMISS), its officers, directors, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliated organizations from any and all liability for personal injury, illness, property damage, or loss arising from participation in this event.
3. I understand that this event involves physical activity and accept full responsibility for my own health and fitness condition.
4. I grant JMISS permission to use my name, likeness, photograph, video, or testimonial for promotional purposes without compensation or restriction.
Parental/Guardian Consent (For Participants Under 18)
As the parent or legal guardian of the participant, I consent to their participation in the Baseball Career Advancement Convention and agree to the above terms. I further understand that I play a vital role in supporting my athlete’s journey through faith, patience, and understanding — respecting the professional boundaries outlined by the instructors, scouts, and staff throughout the event.
No Refund Policy
• All registrations are non-refundable.
• Due to limited space and exclusive access to professional instructors and evaluators, all sales are final once payment is processed.
• In the event a participant is unable to attend, registration may be transferred to another qualified individual with written approval from the event coordinator at least 14 days prior to the event start date.
• Refunds will not be issued for no-shows, schedule conflicts, travel issues, or personal circumstances.
• In the rare event of cancellation by JMISS, participants will be offered a full credit toward a future event.
Acknowledgment of Understanding
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, fully understand, and agree to the terms and conditions of this Release Waiver and No Refund Policy. I understand that by signing this document, I am giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue.
