  • Therapeutic Group Information

This January school holidays we are pleased to offer a three-day intensive social group program, facilitated by three Master-qualified Play Therapists- Katelyn McArthur (Sunshine Coast Child Play Therapy), Ginny Magee (Growing Us Play Therapy) and Megan Towell (Sacred House Play Therapy). This structured play therapy group focuses on enhancing emotional wellbeing and social competence through playful, cooperative and nurturing activities. Participants build social skills, emotional regulation, and interpersonal connections in a supportive environment. The group will run from Wednesday 7th January- Friday 9th January and will have two groups, one at 9:30am - 11am ('Set for Prep' for 3.5-5 year olds) and one from 1pm - 2:30pm ('Mighty Mates Club' for 6-8 year olds). Groups are limited to 6 participants and may be claimable under NDIS Improved Daily Living. To support continuity in engagement and skills, participants must commit to attending all three days of the program. The program price is $693 for three days (4.5hrs face to face contact, 3hrs non face to face contact (preparation, reset, clinical documentation) across the three days).
  • Please note

Due to the nature of group play therapy, not all referrals will be suitable for a group format. Each child’s needs and developmental profile are carefully considered to ensure that the group remains a safe and supportive space for all participants. Families are asked to share any relevant background information about their child’s experiences, including whether their child has been exposed to significant stressors such as trauma, abuse, or domestic violence, or if they have a history of behaviours that may present safety concerns in a group setting (e.g., aggression towards peers, absconding). This information helps us ensure that every child is placed in an environment best suited to their current needs and stage of emotional development. Where a group format may not be the most supportive option, we will discuss alternative recommendations with families.
  • Child intake form

This information helps us understand your child as a whole person and ensure the group is the right fit for their needs and stage of development. We approach every child and family with respect, curiosity, and collaboration.
