Birmingham Scouts DofE Online Registration Form

This form is to register for DofE with Birmingham Scouts. Please talk to your leader about the level you wish to register at:

Bronze - age 13/14+ (Year 9 onwards) takes at least 6 months to complete (£35.00 sign up fee).
Silver - age 14/15+ (Year 10 onwards) takes at least 12 months to complete, 6 months if Bronze complete (£35.00 sign up fee).
Gold - age 16+ takes at least 18 months to complete, 12 months if Silver complete (£42.00 sign up fee).

Resilience Funding
Later in the form, you will be able to check whether you qualify to have your registration fee waived through the DofE Resilience Fund.

Terms and Conditions

I agree to my son / daughter / ward doing a DofE programme. I note that it is my responsibility to check that any activity he/she undertakes for their DofE programme is appropriately managed and insured, unless the activity is organised by the Scout Association.

Data supplied on this form and in eDofE and information about DofE activities recorded in eDofE will be used by the DofE Charity, the Licensed Organisation and DofE centre to monitor and manage DofE participation and progress by young people and manage and support Leaders. The DofE Charity and Birmingham Scouts will use personal data to communicate useful and relevant information to either help participants complete a DofE programme, Leaders/LOs to run DofE programmes more effectively or help the DofE Charity to improve the quality and breadth of its programmes.

The DofE Charity has various partnerships with commercial organsations and when you login to eDofE you will be able to choose to receive this receive commercial information from the DofE Charity.

If I choose to pay via BACS, this will be paid within 28 days. If payment is not received within 28 days, the application will be rejected.

Why do we need your postcode?

Thanks to the DofE Resilience Fund and The Scout Association, we are able to offer free DofE Award registration to ensure the programme is accessible to everyone. This funding applies to anyone whose primary home postcode falls within IMD categories 1–3.

To find out if your postcode qualifies, please use the Birmingham City Council website linked below to check your IMD (Index of Multiple Deprivation) rating.

Enter your postcode in the search bar at the top left of the page. Several results will appear underneath. The second result labeled “Index of Multiple Deprivation Decile” shows your IMD category. If the number displayed is 1, 2, or 3, you are eligible for free DofE Award registration.

If you are eligible, please select “Resilience Funded” as your payment method below.

Please note: This covers only the DofE Award registration fee. It does not include additional costs such as expedition programmes.
