    • Purpose

      This is a privately organized community meeting hosted by WE are GCISD Families, an informal group of local parents and residents. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss potential school closures and share community perspectives in a respectful, constructive manner.

      This event is not sponsored or endorsed by the City of Grapevine, the school district, or any public agency.

      I. Access and Attendance

      1. Private Use. This meeting is being held under a private facility-use reservation. Attendance is limited to individuals who have registered through the official RSVP process and agreed to these terms.
      2. Admission Control. Organizers reserve the right to verify registration and deny entry to any person not on the attendee list or who refuses to comply with event rules.
      3. No Recording Without Permission. Recording, livestreaming, or photographing the meeting without express permission from the organizers is prohibited.


      II. Conduct Standards

      To ensure an orderly and respectful discussion:

      1. Respectful Behavior Required. Attendees must conduct themselves courteously toward moderators, speakers, and fellow participants.
      2. Prohibited Conduct. The following are prohibited and will result in removal from the meeting:
        • Interrupting speakers or shouting over others.
        • Using profane, harassing, or threatening language.
        • Holding up signs, shouting slogans, or otherwise disrupting proceedings.
        • Refusing to comply with moderator directions or time limits.
        • Entering restricted areas or interfering with event staff.
      3. Moderator Authority. Moderators are empowered to:
        • Issue verbal warnings to disruptive individuals.
        • Direct any attendee to leave immediately for continued or serious misconduct.
        • Request law enforcement assistance for anyone refusing to comply.
      4. Removal. A person who refuses to leave after being directed by an organizer or law enforcement officer will be treated as a trespasser under Texas Penal Code §30.05.

       

      III. Participation Rules

      1. Pre-Meeting Questions and Comments.
        • Registered participants may submit written questions and comments via the group’s online platform before the meeting.
        • Submissions may be upvoted by other registrants to prioritize discussion topics.
        • Organizers may moderate, group, or edit submissions for clarity and civility.
      2. Speaking During the Meeting. 
        • Speakers will be selected by moderators based on community interest and available time.
        • Each speaker will have up to three (3) minutes to share remarks.
        • Time limits may be adjusted depending on attendance.
        • Personal attacks, profanity, or off-topic comments will result in forfeiture of time and possible removal.

      IV. Enforcement and Legal Authority

      1. Organizers retain exclusive authority to enforce these rules during the reserved time period.
      2. The City acknowledges in its facility-use agreement that the event is a private meeting, not a public forum.
      3. Law enforcement may be contacted to remove any person who refuses to comply with removal requests.
      4. By attending, each participant agrees to hold harmless the organizers and the City for any removal decisions made in good faith under these rules.

      By submitting this RSVP, I acknowledge and agree that:

      1. This is a privately organized, invitation-only community meeting, not a public event.
      2. I will comply with all conduct and participation rules adopted by the organizers, including moderator directions and time limits.
      3. I understand that disruptive behavior—including interrupting speakers, shouting, harassment, or refusal to follow moderator instructions—may result in my immediate removal from the meeting.
      4. I agree that if I am asked to leave, I will do so promptly and peacefully.
      5. I understand that refusal to leave after being directed may result in law enforcement involvement and treatment as a trespasser under Texas law.
      6. I consent to any lawful removal or enforcement actions necessary to maintain order.
