Creative Greensboro invites creative individuals and arts organizations with strong community connections to apply to curate a First Friday event at the Greensboro Cultural Center. First Friday events should include an engaging mix of art activations throughout the three-hour time frame, including vendor tables, art or craft activities, and live performances. Curators may request up to $1000 to support their event.
Applications should include detailed information on the planned activities as well as a list of the individuals or organizations the curator plans to partner with for the event. An itemized budget must be submitted with the application.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants must submit an application at least three months or 90 days before their proposed event date, and final event details must be submitted 30 days in advance. Applications will be approved on the basis of the strength of the event proposal, the applicant's community connections, and available funds. Not every application will be approved.
Creative Greensboro's First Friday events take place on the 1st Friday of every month from 6-9pm in the 2nd floor atrium of the Greensboro Cultural Center (200 N. Davie St.).
