Purpose:
Continuing our commitment as a valued community partner, the Phillips 66 Sweeny Refinery Valued Partner Scholarship will award two $1,500 scholarships to local high school graduating seniors pursuing a Trade or Vocational Pathway Program post-graduation. Recipients of the scholarships will have demonstrated a strong commitment to their trade and provide proof of enrollment or plans to enroll at one of the Eligible Accredited Institutions and study an Eligible Area of Study (details below).
The application must be submitted no later than March 18, 2026. Following the selection process, Phillips 66 will notify each school of the recipients. It is the school's responsibility to ensure the students are present at the award ceremony.

- Must be graduating senior.
- Plan to attend Trade or Vocational Pathway Program in the fall (documentation required upon receiving scholarship)
- Minimum C grade point average.
- Must complete entire application.
- Eligible Accredited Institutions:
- Brazosport College
- Wharton County Junior College
- Eligible Areas of Study:
- Chemical and Refining Technology
- Electrical Technology
- Industrial Commercial Electricity
- Industrial Commercial Pipefitting
- Laboratory Technology
- Machine Technology
- Process Technology (PTAC)
- Welding Technology
Considerations: (Applicants do not have to be dependents of Phillips 66 employees)
- Students who are graduating from a Career & Technical Education track.
- Students who have not already received another scholarship.
- Students demonstrating a need for financial assistance.
- Students who have worked part-time and/or summer jobs.
- Students who have consistently exhibited good citizenship and an interest in scholastic, athletic, and/or community activities.
- Students who have volunteered in community service, such as environmental projects, political campaigns, or church- or school-sponsored events.
