    Please review the Session Chair responsibilities and fill in the below form if you are interested in becoming a Session Chair for INTERMAG 2027.

  • Session Chair Responsibilities

    • Select responsible reviewers by March 15, 2027 for the papers in your assigned session (two reviewers for IEEE Transactions on Magnetics).  Sessions Chairs must confirm that reviewers agree to perform reviews during the specified timeframe (April 6 - May 14, 2027). 
    • Assist editors by contacting or encouraging delinquent reviewers prior to the Conference. 
    • Must register to attend the in-person Conference. Session Chairs do not receive comp or discounted registration.
    • Chair your session during the Conference week:
      • Attend Session Chair Breakfast on day of your session.
      • Oral session chairs introduce each speaker, monitor timing, and facilitate Q&A.
      • Poster session chairs are responsible for judging posters for the Best Poster Awards.
      • Verify presenters in your session by submitting the Presenter Verification Form at the conclusion of your session.

    Note: Graduate students are NOT allowed to serve as Session Chairs.
