    Annual Meeting: February 10, 2026
  • The community is invited to submit their nominations for the following awards to be presented at the Chamber's Annual Meeting coming up on February 10, 2026.

    • Business of the Year - Large Division
    • Business of the Year - Small Division
    • Economic Impact
    • Franchise of the Year
    • Legacy of Excellence
    • Non-Profit of the Year 
    • Workforce Development Excellence

    The Chamber's Annual Meeting is one of the region's largest gatherings of executives, elected officials, business owners, and civic leaders. We are proud to celebrate 78 years of serving Putnam County, a milestone made possible by the dedication and hard work of our 800+ members. It is important to us to recognize the members who contribute to making our community a great place to live, work, and play. We invite you to join us in this celebration by nominating a business, organization, or individual that you believe has gone above and beyond in serving their employees, our community, and their customers.

    Nominator Guidelines:

    • Please be thoughtful in choosing the appriopriate category listed below. 
    • Nominations are not required in each category.
    • Companies can be nominated in numerous categories, if applicable. 
    • Nominators are encouraged to inform the nominees before submitting this form.
    • All nominators will be notified regarding the status of their nominee.

    Nomination Process:

    • Self-nominations will be accepted.
    • Businesses and organizations must be a Chamber member in good standing to be considered.
    • Once nominated, the members of the Chamber's Board of Directors will vote on final award winners.
    • All entries must be submitted by 5:00pm on Friday, December 12th.

    Other Guidelines:

    • The award winners are not solely chosen by the quantity of nominations that they receive, however, that information is strongly considered by the Chamber's Board of Directors when making selections. 
    • Please review the explanation for each award carefully. 

     

    • 1. Submit your nominations for our "Business of the Year - Large Division" award.  
    • This award is given to the area employer representing our large business community (50+ employees) that has shown growth or sustainability of their business with strong employee relations and a record of giving back to the community.
      2022 Winner - Cookeville Regional Medical Center
      2023 Winner - Averitt 
      2024 Winner - IWC
      2025 Winner - Rogers Group, Inc.

    • 2. Submit your nominations for our "Business of the Year - Small Division" award.  
    • This award is dedicated to recognizing an area employer categorized as a small business (1-49 employees). Please note that 'small business' in this context is defined by the number of employees, and it includes a diverse range of businesses. The recipient should demonstrate both growth or sustainability in their operations, maintain strong employee relations, and exhibit a noteworthy commitment to giving back to the community

    • 3. Submit your nominations for our "Economic Impact " award.  
    • This business, organization, or individual has greatly bolstered Putnam County's economic vitality by fostering job growth, expanding the tax base, constructing or renovating structures, and engaging in other community-enhancing initiatives that benefit local residents.

    • 4. Submit your nomination for our "Franchise of the Year" award.  
    • Recognizes a franchised business that has demonstrated outstanding success in operations, customer service, and community involvement, setting an example for excellence within the franchise network and the local community.

      Franchise Status - Operates under a recognized franchise agreement as part of a larger brand or network.

      2025 Winner (new in 2025) - Texas Roadhouse

    • 5. Submit your nominations for our "Legacy of Excellence" award.  
    • Honors a long-standing business that has consistently contributed to community growth, culture, or economic stability over the years.

    • 6. Submit your nomination for our "Nonprofit of the Year" award.  
    • This award is given to the nonprofit that you believe serves as the example of leadership, philanthropy or positive impact within our community.

    • 7. Submit your nomination for our "Workforce Development Excellence" award.  
    • Recognizes a business that has excelled in workforce training, development, or retention, contributing to a stronger local workforce.
