  • Criteria for Educational Support:
    SASCI offers South African Cardiologists and 3rd Year Cardiology Fellows an opportunity to apply for educational support to attend the SASCI-AfricaPCR Course 2026, subject to Eligibility Criteria

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Cardiologist, Cardiology Fellows, Cardiothoracic Surgeon
    • SASCI Membership / SASCI Associate Membership (ISCAP)
    • Limited educational support is available and allocated based on budget available and eligibility criteria, including specialty, country, academic background, type of institution (public or private), and level of involvement in the course programme.
    • Applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds considering geographic and demographic diversity.
    • All applicants must apply for educational support through the registration portal and upload a clear copy of their ID (for South African applicants) or Passport (for international applicants).
    • Proof of membership and professional credentials will be verified by the SASCI office.
    • The SASCI-AfricaPCR Course educational support process aligns with MedTech and SAMED guidelines.

    Educational Support may cover:
    Waived Registration and for out-of-town delegates, accommodation and/or travel support to attend the Course (budget dependent).

    Registration Support Includes:

    • Access to Academic Course Sessions
    • CPD Accredited Points
    • Interaction and Networking
    • Access to Exhibition Area
    • Lunch, tea and coffee breaks
    • Course Dinner
    • A limited number of registration support is available.

     

    Travel/Accommodation Support if Available may Include:

    • Cost effective flights (maximum R4500), airport transfers, and/or accommodation.
    • Take note the following are excluded: Any costs not specified eg. Fuel, parking, toll fees, laundry, meals (not part of the course), visa fees & flight changes or missed flights etc.
