📌 TERMS & CONDITIONS
SYD LENS
These Terms & Conditions apply upon booking with Syd Lens (“Service Provider”). By paying the booking deposit, the Client agrees to all terms listed below.
1️⃣ BOOKING & PAYMENT
1. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking date.
2. Remaining 50% balance is due on or before the event/session day.
3. Bookings are confirmed only after the deposit is received and contract is signed.
4. Prices are valid at the time of quotation and may change without notice for future bookings.
5. Travel fees may apply for locations 10km beyond Sydney CBD — quoted case-by-case.
2️⃣ CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
1. If the Client cancels for any reason, the deposit will not be refunded.
2. Rescheduling is allowed once, up to 14 days before the event/session, subject to availability.
3. If rescheduling within 14 days or on the day, a $100 reschedule fee applies.
4. If the Service Provider fails to attend due to emergencies, full refund of deposit will be issued.
3️⃣ DELIVERY OF FILES
1. Delivery timeframe for edited outputs: 2–3 weeks after event/session date.
2. Delivery delays may occur in peak seasons but will be communicated.
3. Raw files (if included) will be shared via google drive link within 72 hours.
4. Final edited files are delivered digitally via secure online gallery.
5. Client must download final files within 30 days of delivery.
4️⃣ ARTISTIC STYLE & EDITING
1. The Client acknowledges the Service Provider’s creative style and professional discretion.
2. Additional retouch requests beyond standard editing may incur extra charges.
5️⃣ COPYRIGHT & USAGE RIGHTS
1. All photos and videos remain the copyright of Syd Lens.
2. Clients receive unlimited personal use rights to share and print images/videos.
3. Commercial use (advertising, resale, product promotion) requires separate licensing.
4. The Service Provider may use images/videos for portfolio, advertising, social media, and promotional purposes, unless Client requests otherwise in writing before the event.
6️⃣ SHOOTING CONDITIONS
1. Client is responsible for location permits where required.
2. The Service Provider is not liable for reduced coverage due to:
a. Late arrivals
b. Venue restrictions
c. Interference of guests or external factors
d. Breaks of 10 minutes every 2 hours will be provided for the team at multi-hour events.
7️⃣ LIABILITY & FORCE MAJEURE
The Service Provider is not liable for:
a. Loss of media files due to unforeseen technical issues
b. Acts of God, weather conditions, illness, or accidents
c. If failure to deliver occurs due to equipment malfunction without backup, a refund up to the contract amount may be issued.
8️⃣ SAFETY & CONDUCT
The Service Provider may stop or leave the assignment if:
a. They feel unsafe or harassed
b. Equipment is at risk
c. No refund will be issued if premature departure is due to Client or guest misconduct.
9️⃣ CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide accurate event schedules, shot lists, and contacts at least 72 hours before the shoot.
2. Assign a coordinator for group shots during events to avoid delays.
1️⃣0️⃣ AGREEMENT ACCEPTANCE
Payment of deposit signifies that the Client has read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions stated above.
