    This form can only be filled out once per Service Unit per year and should be completed by either the Service Unit Manager or the Service Unit Awards Chair. This form will close each year on May 31 and reopen on November 1.
  • Each Service Unit Awards Committee is charged with setting the deadline dates and presenting these awards at a Service Unit event.

    Please review the awards and complete the information below to award volunteers within your Service Unit.

    There is a 10 business day turnaround for all Service Unit awards.

  • Rookie of the Year Certificate

    The Rookie of the Year Certificate recognizes the time, effort, and dedication put forth by leaders and/or assistant leaders during their first year of service.

  • Outstanding Leader Pin

    The Outstanding Leader Award is given only once to an adult to recognize outstanding troop leadership in the delivery of Girl Scout program to girls, meriting recognition by geographic or service team.

  • Outstanding Volunteer Pin

    The Outstanding Volunteer Award is given only once to an adult in a position other than a troop leader for service to a geographic area or program delivery audience that is beyond the expectations of the position.

  • Volunteer of Excellence Pin

    Volunteer of Excellence recognizes those volunteers who have contributed outstanding service while partnering directly with girls in any pathway to implement the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through use of the national program portfolio or who have contributed outstanding service in support of the council’s mission delivery to girl and adult members.

  • Green Angel Award (Certificate)

    This award is presented to adults in your Girl Scout community who have been the "Green Angel" in your life. This award is given as a thank you in recognition of short or long-term service to a troop or service unit. There is no limit to the number a Service Unit can award.

    The certificate is given the first time this individual earns this award.

  • Green Angel Award (Patch)

    This award is presented to adults in your Girl Scout community who have been the "Green Angel" in your life. This award is given as a thank you in recognition of short or long-term service to a troop or service unit.

    The patch is given the second time this individual earns this award.

  • Green Angel Award (Pin)

    This award is presented to adults in your Girl Scout community who have been the "Green Angel" in your life. This award is given as a thank you in recognition of short or long-term service to a troop or service unit. There is no limit to the number a Service Unit can award.

    The pin is given the third time this individual earns this award.

  • Member Recognition - Adult Insignia

  • Membership Numeral Guards

    Membership Numeral Guards show the total number of years of registered membership, both as a girl and an adult, in any Girl Scout/Girl Guide organization.
    Numeral Guards are attached to the membership pins. Numerial Guards are available in increments of 5 years.

    e.g. Mary was a Girl Scout from 1st to 5th grade. She became a leader for her daughter has been registered for 5 years. She would recieve a 10 year numeral guard and would replace her 5 year guard.

  • Volunteer Pin

    Volunteer Pins are given to leaders the first year they become a volunteer for Girl Scouts. If a volunteer does not currently have a volunteer pin, we are happy to provide retroactively.

  • Volunteer Service Award

    Volunteer Service Pins are given to adults in Girl Scouting in recognition of years of volunteer service at five-year intervals. Service Units recognize individuals receiving 5, 10, 15, etc. year pins.
