    NOMINATIONS CLOSE 5pm (AEDT) 5 December 2025.
  • The AORA State Committees role is to provide local insight, from their respective states to the AORA staff and Board. They are consultative committees and have no direct part of power in the management of AORA, as per the constitution. 

    • State Committees should have a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of six (6) members comprising of state representatives plus one (1) AORA Director. These representatives must be fully financial AORA members, and they can only be on a committee in the state in which they reside. ACT residents may sit on the NSW Committee.
    • Regardless of the number of members on each State Committee at any time, it is preferable that the majority of members shall be representatives from the Processor memberships.
    • Each State Committee shall include an AORA Director who is appointed by the AORA Board, as a representative of that state or territory. The Director may or may not be a resident of that state.
    • All State Committee members are appointed for a one-year term before being eligible for reappointment.
    • All appointments are made at the discretion of the AORA Board and National Executive Officer as far as the AORA Constitution permits.
    • Meetings of the State Committee should be held at least once every two months; however, this duration may be shortened if there are specific issues/actions requiring more immediate attention.
    • State Committee representatives are encouraged to attend all State Committee meetings. Failure to attend more than three meetings in a twelve-month period may result in that State Committee member being asked to vacate their position on the State Committee.
    • This is a voluntary role.
