  • Support Adoption of Revised BR-3

  • To the Members of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education:

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Board and staff for the thoughtful, transparent, and data-driven approach taken throughout the school redistricting review process. We recognize the significant time and effort that has gone into evaluating multiple map iterations, considering both quantitative criteria and the invaluable community feedback gathered over the past several months.

Your dedication to a transparent and thoughtful review—grounded in clear criteria such as continuity, community integrity, capacity management, and access to educational opportunities—has been evident throughout this process. The open dialogue and consistent opportunities for public input have helped residents feel heard, informed, and meaningfully engaged.

We respectfully urge the Board to adopt Revised Map BR-3 (as of November 5, 2025). We believe this version best reflects the guiding principles established at the outset of the redistricting process, achieving a practical and balanced outcome for all affected communities. Revised BR-3 clearly values minimizing feeder pattern changes and limiting transportation times whenever possible. By maintaining stable school and feeder patterns, this map fosters continuity, consistency, and confidence for families—strengthening the sense of community and stability that students need to thrive. Revised BR-3 also supports stable school communities and aligns with the county’s long-term planning objectives for enrollment and capacity.

Thank you again for your diligence, professionalism, and commitment to transparency. The undersigned residents of the Phase 2 area deeply appreciate your service and your thoughtful leadership on this important matter.

    Sincerely,
