    Thank you for your interest in partnering with Olive Grove Christian School. Please complete the following information to apply as a Cooperative Education employer. This form ensures alignment with our program standards and values.

  • The state of Pennsylvania requires that one direct supervisor of the student obtain the following clearances. Criminal background check, Child abuse check and FBI fingerprinting/Waiver. Olive Grove is able to provide the necessary resources for this. Will your company be able to complete this requirement?
  • Participating businesses must submit a brief monthly report and a quarterly evaluation for each student, covering work hours, tasks, performance, and competencies. These help ensure accountability and student development. All forms will be provided by Olive Grove and may be by either of the methods listed below. Will your company be able to meet this requirement?

    Required Documentation

    • Work permit for the employee 
    • Signed agreement from the employer, student, parent or guardian, and an OGSC administrator
    • Criminal background check, Child abuse check and FBI fingerprinting/Waiver and Mandated Child Reporter training certificate must be on file for one responsible supervisor. 
    • Send daily log with hours worked on a monthly report to Olive Grove 
    • All required forms will be provided by OGSC and will be filed via MyPlanPA. 

    Safe and Supportive Work Environment

    • Maintain a safe, supervised, and organized workspace.
    • Provide ongoing safety training and clear emergency procedures.
    • Provide adult supervisors trained to guide minors.
    • Provide a clear written job description
    • Avoid assigning minors to restricted tasks (e.g., machinery operation, handling toxic materials). Any restricted task must be listed on the job description
    • Provide support for semi-annual check-in with the regional Co-op supervisor.
    • Provide an honest & fair wage
    • Encourage a positive, inclusive, and educational culture. 

    Training and Mentorship

    • Offer structured onboarding covering conduct, safety, and expectations.
    • Provide hands-on learning for the written job description.
    • Assign a responsible mentor or senior staff to support the employee


    Professional Boundaries and Conduct

    • Train 1 adult staff per 6 minors on appropriate interactions with minors.
    • Minor employment can not exceed 25% of the work force
    • Provide clear reporting channel for concerns or harassment.
    • Ensure policies protect minors’ physical and emotional well-being.

  • By signing below, we acknowledge that we have completed the Olive Grove Christian School Cooperative Education Business Partner Application and have reviewed the Employer Checklist / Agreement for Employing Minors. We agree to comply with all listed requirements, including legal documentation, workplace safety, student mentorship, monthly and quarterly reporting, and professional conduct standards. We understand that Olive Grove Christian School will provide all necessary forms, training resources, and ongoing support. We affirm our commitment to partnering with OGSC in a manner that honors its mission and values, promotes student growth, and serves the broader community with integrity.

  • Businesses may optionally enroll eligible employees (ages 14–17) into the program as part of this application. If you choose to do so, you may submit student information and cover the enrollment fee on their behalf. A parent/guardian acknowledgment will still be required for all student enrollments.
