  • Heart High Applicant Agreement

    Thank you for considering Heart High. We are excited to potentially partner with you in your educational journey. Below you will find a number of clarifying commitments we ask of all Heart families, all which help to define and protect our culture and values.

    Since 1999, Heart Christian Academy has collaborated with parents to provide a comprehensive hybrid program that prioritizes Christ, community, and curriculum during both on-campus and at-home days across all of our locations nationwide. With Heart, Christ is the center, the parent is the primary educator and our mentor teachers come alongside the parent in the education journey. Before requesting enrollment with Heart High we ask that you carefully review and confidently affirm the Statement of Faith below. We require that at least one parent affirm and live in light of these historic Christian beliefs.

    Statement of Faith

    We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. By His own pleasure, God created, sustains, and rules all things. All creation exists for and attests to His glory.
    Matthew 28:19; Luke 1:37; John 1:1, 3; 4:24; Romans 1:19-20; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:5-6; Genesis 1:1,26; Deuteronomy 6:4

    We believe that God has revealed himself and his truth in both nature and in Scripture, which mutually interpret one another. We believe the Bible alone to be the word of God, the ultimate and infallible authority for faith and practice.
    Matthew 5:18; Mark 13:31; John 8:31-32; 16:12-13; 20:31; Acts 20:32; Romans 1:19-20; 1 Corinthians 2:7-14; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 19:1-2, 7-11

    We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection,in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
    Matthew 1:18, 20-23; 20:28; Luke 1:26-27, 30-35, 37; John 1:1-4, 14; 5:30; 6:38; 20:28, 30-31; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 3:24; 5:6, 8; 6:9-10; 8:34, 38-39; 9:5; 14:9; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:3-10; Colossians 1:15-20; 2:13-15; 1 Timothy 2:5; 2 Timothy 4:1; Hebrews 7:25-27; 9:24, 28; 10:12-14; 1 Peter 1:3; 2:21-24; 4:5; 1 John 2:1-2

    We believe that all human beings are created in the image of God and possess equal value and dignity as divine image-bearers. We believe that all human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful humans, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary.
    Genesis 1:26-31; 2:7, 15-25; 3:1-13, 15-24; 5:1-2; Romans 3:9-18, 23; 5:10,12, 15-19; 6:23; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Ephesians 2:1-3; Colossians 1:16, 21; James 3:9; 1 John 1:8, 10; Revelation 4:11; Psalm 14:1-3;
    139:13-14; Ecclesiastes 2:11; Isaiah 43:7; Jeremiah 17:9

  • We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ alone, and that faith without works is dead.
    John 1:12-13; 3:14-16, 36; 5:24; 6:40; 8:12; 10:26-28; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:24-26; 4:5; 5:6, 8-11, 18-19; 8:1-4, 11,33; 9:22-23; 1 Corinthians 15:1-6, 14; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:4-9; Colossians 1:20, 22;
    2:13-15; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:25-27; 9:26; 10:14; 1 Peter 1:3; 2:22-25; 1 John 1:9; Genesis 3:15; Proverbs 28:13; Isaiah 53:4-11

    We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
    John 14:16-17, 26; 15:26-27; 16:7-14; Acts 1:5, 8; 2:17-20; Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 12:4-13; 2 Corinthians 3:6; Galatians 5:16-18, 22-23, 25; Ephesians 1:13-14; 5:18; Hebrews 10:15

    We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and in the primacy of the local church as the place where believers should live out this unity.
    Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 14:27; 20:28; 1 Corinthians 1:10; 3:9, 16; 5:4-7, 13-14; 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 8:23; 11:2; Ephesians 1:22-23; 3:10, 21; 5:19-21, 25-27, 29-30; Colossians 1:18; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 2:5, 9-10; 5:1-5; Revelation 21:9-11

    We believe that God created us male and female in His image; that gender identity may not be detached from the biological sex of the human body; that marriage or matrimony is a covenantal, procreative union of one man and one woman; and that God intends for children to be raised and nurtured in an environment that honors these distinctions. We believe that sexual union is to be exclusive to covenantal, heterosexual marriage.
    Genesis 1: 26-31; 2:18, 21-24; 3:1-13; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Ephesians 5:21-33; Colossians 3:18-19; Hebrews 13:4;1 Peter 3:1-7

    We believe that the consummation of all things includes the future, physical, visible, personal, and glorious return of Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of the dead and the translation of those alive in Christ, the judgment of the just and the unjust, and the fulfillment of Christ's kingdom in the new heavens and the new earth.
    Matthew 16:27; Mark 14:62; John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 4:5; 15:12-28, 42-55; Philippians 3:20-21; Colossians 1:13; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-18; 5:9-10; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; 2 Timothy 4:1; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 9:27-28; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-6, 10-15; 21:1-8; 22:1-5

    Mission Statement

    Our mission is to build an educational system which fosters both spiritual growth and academic excellence. We desire to come alongside parents in their effort to disciple and educate their children at home. Our parents and staff work together to choose a distinctive curriculum, rich in both Christian worldview and solid scholastic emphasis. We hope to inspire students to become godly leaders in their home, church, community and work place.

    We expect all parents, children, teachers and staff to commit to a cooperative community in which each party fulfills their roles as defined in our Parent & Student Handbook.

    These commandments that I give you today are to be on your heart. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. - Deuteronomy 6: 6-7
