Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Makers Arcade on December 13th and 14th at Broadway Pier Volunteers are essential to our events and keep prices for small businesses accessible. You’ll meet some great people, have a super rewarding time, and get a swag bag filled with goodies in return.

Please fill out the form below to sign up for shifts. Please ONLY select shifts you are available to work. Signing up for multiple shifts means you would like to work more than one shift. You may sign up for multiple shifts, but please note, you will receive one thank you gift bag per event, not per shift.

If you need to cancel, email events@makersarcade.com with "VOLUNTEER CHANGE" in the subject line. A limited number of paid positions are also available via a separate application: Mover/ Event Staff Application

Pre-Event Prep Volunteer Shifts (Unpaid)

Volunteers may help prep for the event by pulling market items (excluding large/heavy items) from storage, assembling signage, organizing materials, preparing grab bags, and starting any interactive art pieces and decor.

Event Set Up Volunteer Shifts (Unpaid)

These volunteers will assist with event setup the day before the market, including lifting and moving items up to 30lbs. During set up volunteers may also assist vendors, place signage, decorate, set up trash bins and umbrellas, and any additional tasks assigned by market staff.

Event Day Volunteer Shifts (Unpaid)

Morning and evening shifts will assist with event open and close tasks and final day breakdown, including lifting and moving items up to 30lbs. During the event, volunteers may assist in the following areas - helping vendors and guests, perform outreach activities, work at the staff information booths, empty trash and maintain cleanliness, help at a workshop, work front entry, and ensure a smooth experience.

If you’d like, you can tell us which areas you feel most comfortable working or have worked at while volunteering at past markets. (You can select more than one.) We'll do our best to match you with your choices, but final assignments are made based on event needs.

Post-Event Prep Volunteer Shifts (Unpaid)

Volunteers help with post event support by cleaning and organizing market items and bar supplies and getting them ready for storage.

We want to make sure everyone has a great volunteer experience.

Our volunteer positions can involve standing and walking for extended periods. Some roles may also require lifting items up to 30 lbs.

Additionally, since this event is held outdoors, volunteers should be prepared for various weather conditions, including heat, sun, wind, or rain.

Please let us know if you have any preferences or limitations regarding your volunteer role (e.g., amount of standing, level of interaction with guests, specific skills).
