    NOTE: The application MUST be completed and electronically signed by the person enrolling for the 40 Days for Life University course. An approved application enrolles ONE PERSON in 40 Days for Life University. Enrollments may not be shared.

    Filing of this application constitutes your agreement to receive 40 Days for Life communications including e-mails.

    40 Days for Life University is a project of 40 Days for Life and is not an official educational institution or university and no educational credits are available.

    40 Days for Life Sidewalk Outreach training is provided to equip pro-lifers with the knowledge needed to provide loving outreach to abortion-minded women to help empower them to choose life. This training provides no professional certifications and/or licensure as a "counselor" or otherwise. Those who complete the training should not as a result of this training represent themselves as "certified", "licensed", a "counselor", or the like.

  • This is the application to host a group-setting Sidewalk Outreach training session. If you want to sign up to complete the training as an INDIVIDUAL, STOP! The individual training application can be accessed at https://www.40daysforlife.com/sidewalkoutreachapplication

    This Group Course License Application, once approved, provides you (the Licensee) with a limited, non-exclusive License to show 40 Days for Life University’s Sidewalk Outreach training video course to multiple viewers.

    The initial Application is for a minimum of five viewers total (including you, unless you have already paid to complete the Sidewalk Outreach training). After that you agree to pay $20 additional dollars for each viewer to whom you show/show the licensed materials. Payment instructions are set out below.

    What You Get:

    • A License to show the course videos in a group setting as many times as you wish. There is no limit on the number of viewers provided that you (“Licensee”) pay $20 per viewer.
    • A copy of What to Say When: The Complete New Guide to Discussing Abortion, printed course materials, and a $10 gift card for 40daysforlifegear.com for each viewer. (Materials will be shipped to the Licensee for distribution to all viewers.)
    • All paid viewers will receive online access to review the Sidewalk Outreach training course on their personal devices.

    Cost: The Initial Group Course License for the Licensee (You) and the first four (five, if you have already paid to complete the Sidewalk Outreach training) more viewers is $100. Thereafter, Licensee agrees to collect and pay to 40 Days for Life, $20 for each additional viewer.

    Scope of License & Eligibility: Licensee must be at least 18 years old and agrees to use the materials only for prolife reasons and to share them only with other Pro-lifers who are at least 18 years old. Once your Application is accepted, you will receive an email with a link that allows you to designate up to four (five, if you have already paid to complete the Sidewalk Outreach training) other names of your viewers as well as instructions for adding additional paid viewers.

    NOTE: The application MUST be completed and electronically signed by the Licensee.

    Filing of this application constitutes your agreement to receive 40 Days for Life communications including e-mails, texts & other messaging.

    40 Days for Life University is a project of 40 Days for Life and is not an official educational institution or university and no educational credits are available.

The videos are available on-demand. After you register, you will receive access to these videos and additional supplemental resources by email.

      2. How long are the videos? The videos range from 15 minutes to a little more than an hour. The total running time is approximately four and a half hours.

      3. How long does it take to complete the course? The course is self-paced. You can watch all the videos in one day (approximately four and a half hours) or take a more leisurely pace. It’s up to you! 

      4. When does the training begin? Can you start at any time during the year? There is no set “classroom” time. The videos are available on-demand for your convenience. There is no timeframe in which you must complete the training.

      6. Is there a test or any certification to “pass” the Sidewalk Outreach training? No. There are worksheets that summarize each module and allow you to take notes, but no certificate of completion or tests.

      7. Will this qualify for any local Sidewalk Outreach/sidewalk counseling/sidewalk advocacy training program? This program is not hosted in coordination with any other program or group. If your local pro-life organization requires you to be trained to serve as a sidewalk counselor, please ask whether 40 Days for Life University’s Sidewalk Outreach program meets your local group’s requirements.

Are there books we need to read for the course? No. However, all U.S. participants will receive a copy of the book What to Say When: The Complete New Guide to Discussing Abortion, which provides easy training on how to talk about abortion when it comes up in conversation.       Applications will be granted or rejected at the sole discretion of 40 Days for Life. Your group license at 40 Days for Life University will be authorized only after you have received a specific confirmation of approval.

      You understand and agree that 40 Days for Life has the exclusive authority to approve and/or remove 40 Days for Life University Licensees at its sole discretion for any reason that it sees fit. We understand that some such decisions may not be agreed to by the individuals concerned. Nevertheless, you agree to abide by 40 Days for Life's decisions without objection.

      Never be alone after dark or when doing sidewalk outreach.

      Conduct the vigil or sidewalk outreach in a safe and public or otherwise lawful location.

      If you feel threatened, leave and call the police.

      If your path is blocked call the police.

      If you are touched, call the police.

      If you can safely do so, photograph/film events.

      If the police arrive, be polite and cooperative.

      If you are ordered to leave by competent governmental authority, do so and contact 40 Days for Life headquarters.

      Do not trespass.

      Do not threaten.

      Do not curse.

      Do not block anyone's path/right-of-way.
