  • 2026 NTPGA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
     
     
    IMPORTANT SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION 
     
    This application contains information regarding the Northern Texas PGA Foundation Scholarship Program.
    • Applications must be electronically submitted to the Northern Texas PGA by Friday, February 6th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST
    • Applicants MUST be a 2025 and/or 2026 member of the NTPGA Junior Tour.
    • Applicants MUST have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Achievement in the Junior Tour tournament program is not part of the selection criteria. 
    • All applicants MUST be a high school senior graduating in 2026 in order to be eligible.
    Applicants must have completed (or plan to complete) high school prior to August 1, 2026, and have enrolled (or plan to enroll) in an accredited college or university in the fall of 2026. 
     
    Along with each application, the applicant must submit the following information: 
    • Financial information (household income, Student Aid Report)
    • A copy of his/her most recent transcript (can be unofficial) 
    • A copy of his/her ACT/SAT test scores*
    • Responses to short answers (see below) 
    *If you have elected to not take the ACT or SAT, you are still eligible to submit an application. 
     
    Semi-finalists will be asked to take part in a one-way video interview. All semi-finalists will be determined by Monday, February 23, 2026 (subject to change). Not all applicants will be selected as a semi-finalist.
     
    Upon review of all videos, finalists will be determined by Friday, March 20, 2026 (subject to change). Second round interviews are to be completed by Monday, April 6, 2026 (subject to change).
     
    Scholarship winners will be notified by Monday, May 11, 2026 (subject to change).

    On page nine (9) of this application, please type a response to each of the following questions. These answers should help us get to know you by going beyond the numbers and facts included in other sections of your application. Present yourself in a carefully written and honest reflection. 

    SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS:

    2. Tell us about a time that you failed and what you learned from it, not related to golf.

    3. How has the NTPGA Junior Tour influenced you the most?

  • ABOUT THE NTPGA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
     
    PURPOSE:
    The purpose of the NTPGA Foundation Scholarship Program is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher education goals for current and past NTPGA Junior Tour members.

    SCHOLARSHIPS:
    The NTPGA Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to award multiple one-year college scholarships for freshman in college. Please visit www.ntpgajuniorgolf.com, and click on the "College Scholarship" tab to learn more about our 2025 scholarship winners.

    SELECTION OF FINALISTS:
    Scholarship semi-finalists and finalists will be selected based on the following criteria:
    > Academic Performance - includes GPA and/or ACT/SAT test scores
    > Extracurricular Activities
    > Short Answers

    Financial need will serve as a selection criteria for many, but not all scholarships. Achievement in the Junior Tour tournament program is not part of the selection criteria.

    INTERVIEWS:
    Finalists will be asked to take part in a one-way video interview. 

    ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECIPIENTS:
    Scholarship recipients will be announced in May upon the completion of interviews.

  • RELATIONSHIP TO PGA PROFESSIONAL: 
    Children, grandchildren, step-children or adopted children of an NTPGA Professional (PGA Member) in good standing (living or deceased) are eligible for four (4) additional scholarships. Please note that only one (1) scholarship in total may be awarded per applicant.
