The City of Santee is proud to host our 10th annual Fido Fest!
Fido Fest is one of San Diego's largest FREE Dog events. This annual celebration welcomes over 3,000 dog lovers from all over San Diego County!

Fido Fest celebrates all things dog-related by offering attendees opportunities to Foster or Adopt from local rescues, access affordable microchipping and licensing, compete in various contests, participate in "Arfs & Crafts", and so much more!

Additional Notes:
- This application is intended for businesses that are related to dog products and services, animal welfare and rescues, or other closely related industries.
  - Your participation is not confirmed until your application has been reviewed or approved by City staff.
  - The City of Santee reserves the right to choose vendors that meet the needs/theme of the event. Multiple vendors in attendance may provide similar services and/or resources.
- This event will be held rain or shine
  - In the event of saturated grass from rainfall, the event will be moved to the asphalt parking lot.
  - You will be notified at least 24 hours before if there has been a change of venue location
- Activities must be done in your 10'x10' assigned space, unless preapproved by the City of Santee.
- Vendor booths will be placed on grass. You must secure your canopy with weights, sandbags or other means.
  - The Fire Marshall will be on site to conduct inspections.
- Please help us promote the event through your website, social media channels, e-blasts, promotional collateral, and word of mouth.
The application is not intended for food vendors.

All businesses must acknowledge and accept the following to participate:*

I UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE that participating in Santee's Fido Fest (“Event”) presents the potential for injury, death, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to those caused by terrain, facilities, equipment, and the actions of others, including, but not limited to City of Santee workers, other participants, spectators, and volunteers. I understand and acknowledge that my injuries, death or property loss are solely my responsibility and not the responsibility of the City of Santee. I understand that I am assuming all risks associated with participation in the Event. I ACKNOWLEDGE that this form will be used by the City of Santee and that it will govern my actions and my responsibilities. In consideration and participation of this event: I hereby WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE the City of Santee, its officials, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and attorneys (collectively, “Releasees”) from any and all alleged and actual claims, damages, remedies, causes of action, demands, and other liabilities(collectively, “Liabilities”) arising out of or in any manner related to my participating in the Event. The foregoing release and waiver applies to all Liabilities, whether retrospective, current, or prospective, known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise. With respect to the matters released hereunder, the undersigned waives any rights or benefits that he or she might otherwise have under California law. I specifically waive the provisions of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code, and any other similar statute or provision, which provides as follows: A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER, WOULD HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY. I also agree to indemnify, defend with counsel of the City’s choosing, and save and hold harmless the City and the Releasees from any and all liability, claims, suits, actions, arbitration proceedings, administrative or regulatory proceedings, losses, expenses, or costs of any kind, whether actual alleged, or threatened, actual attorney’s fees incurred by the City, court costs, interest, defense costs, including expert witness fees, and any other costs of any kind incurred in relation to or in any way attributable to the actual or contemplated participation in the Event, including, but not limited to, any liability, harm, penalty, or loss to persons or property, or which may arise from any violation of the law, including any harm to the Event facilities or caused by the Event facilities. THIS WAIVER, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE COVERS MY PERSONALRIGHTS. I UNDERSTAND that I am giving up substantial rights to recover damages in the event of injury, death, or damage to property by signing this Waiver and Release of Liability. I acknowledge and expressly agree that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity provisions are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of California. I further agree that if any portion of this Agreement is held invalid, the balance of this Agreement shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
