  • Awards Nomination Form

    Event will be held in early 2026, with the exact date yet to be determined. We welcome you to submit your nominations through November 30, 2025 either online, in person or postal mail.
  • General Requirements

    • Nominations will be accepted from the community at large.
    • Membership with the Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce is not required.
    • One letter of Nomination is required for each nominee.
    • A nomination form (this document) is required for each nominee.
    • Nominators may nominate multiple nominees for the same or separate categories - a new form must be used for each nominee.
    • Must not have won in any category in the last five years.
    • Must be located (live, work, and/or volunteer) in the Greater Claremont Area.
    • There are no requirements or restrictions relating to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or belief. 
    • All Nominations must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

    1. Contributes and promotes the economic growth, stability and improvement of the Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce area.
    2. Demonstrates a commitment to community service, business innovation & excellence, investment in employees and business improvement & growth. 
    3. Gives generously of themselves and/or staff in time and resources to the community.
  • Citizen of the Year Criteria 

    1. Meritorious Service shall include: individual, patriotic, organizational and/or business accomplishments and community activities which have resulted in a better community for us all. 
    2. Evidence of lasting contributions to the community
    3. Is an inspirational role model for the community
  • Young Professional of the Year Criteria

    1. The award recognizes an individual who has proven dedication and enthusiasm for the civic and economic development of the greater Claremont Business Community. 
    2. Contributed in an exemplary manner to enrich the lives of fellow citizens in the community. 
    3. Involved in community, civic, church or charitable activities in a leadership role that motivates others to benefit the community. 
  • Model Youth of the Year Criteria

    1. Has played a leadership role in creating, organizing and implementing a project in their school or community.
    2. Lends a helping hand to peers or younger youth in the community.
    3. Involved in school, community, civic, church or charitable activities in a leadership role that motivates others to get involved.

    Some things to consider when writing a letter of nomination:

    • Describe what the business does, its primary activity in the business community and how it participates as a charitable partner in the community.
    • Demonstrate how the nonprofit organization collaborates with other nonprofit organizations and/or businesses in the community.
    • Summarize the nominee's involvement with civic organizations, community service groups, young professional networks and/or fraternal societies on independent volunteering.
    • Provide a summary of the nominee's contributions to his/her company's industry. This may include honors, awards, certifications and involvement in progressional organizations.
    • How has this nominee had a positive impact on our Community? What are their plans to continue to have a lasting positive impact on the Greater Claremont Community?
