• MCC Toronto Human Rights Youth Leadership Microgrant

MCC Toronto Human Rights Youth Leadership Microgrant Application Period: November 7 - November 24
  • Overview.

The Human Rights Youth Leadership Microgrant initiative offers $1000 microgrants to individual youth or youth groups committed to developing or sustaining projects that foster mental well-being within their communities. This grant is intended to support a wide range of youth-led initiatives, including advocacy campaigns, community-building activities, or small business ventures focused on social impact. While the program is open to all youth, priority will be given to applicants from historically marginalized communities, such as 2SLGBTQ+ youth, racialized youth, Indigenous youth, and youth with disabilities. The initiative seeks to uplift voices from these communities by providing the resources necessary to drive positive change. In addition to the microgrant, MCC Toronto will provide recipients with access to meeting and event spaces, opportunities for skill-building workshops, and connections to mentorship and networking programs. These resources will enable participants to further develop their leadership skills and expand their capabilities in areas such as entrepreneurship, nonprofit work, and advocacy. The program aims to foster a sense of community, encourage collaboration, and promote personal and professional growth. By supporting youth leadership in this way, MCC Toronto hopes to empower the next generation of human rights advocates and community leaders.
