Emerald Valley Guest Speaker Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a guest speaker with Emerald Valley Institute—Oregon’s first vertically integrated psilocybin education, service, and cultivation ecosystem.

We collaborate with educators, researchers, facilitators, clinicians, community leaders, mycologists, and visionaries from diverse fields including but not limited to representives of traditional marganilized communities, facilitators, psychology, neuroscience, somatic practices, harm reduction, spiritual and ceremonial work, indigenous-informed wisdom, business leadership, and the creative arts.

Guest presentations and workshops may be live (virtual or in-person) or pre-recorded. Recordings from guest sessions are used to support our students, alumni, and community education participants, helping expand access to high-quality, inclusive psychedelic education.

As part of our mission of accessibility, Emerald Valley offers all guest speaker sessions free to our students, alumni, Emerald Valley Community and the public, and we never charge for attendance. Our speaker program is also designed to uplift and promote the work of our presenters, offering visibility across our student and alumni network and opportunities to connect with our broader community of learners and professionals.

We currently host guest speakers for both virtual and in-person sessions as well as workshops and seminars for:

Emerald Valley Institute — our OHA- and HECC-licensed Psilocybin Facilitator Certification program
Emerald Valley Holistic — our psilocybin service center in Eugene, Oregon

How Volunteer Guest Speakers Help Keep Education Free and Accessible

Emerald Valley Institute collaborates with guest speakers who generously volunteer their time and expertise to support our students, alumni, and community education programs. Their contributions directly help us keep these learning opportunities free and accessible to everyone, regardless of financial privilege. This volunteer-based model is a core part of our mission to promote equity, affordability, and community-centered education.

While we do not offer financial compensation for guest sessions, we provide meaningful value through:

• visibility across our student and alumni network
• professional referrals when appropriate
• promotional features in our newsletters and social platforms
• opportunities to share your work with an engaged, diverse learning community
  
  

We aim to uplift diverse voices, expand access to psychedelic education, and build partnerships rooted in shared mission and mutual respect.

By participating as a guest speaker, you grant Emerald Valley Institute a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to record and use your presentation—including audio, video, slides, and materials—for internal educational purposes only, which include:

• Enrolled students
• Alumni
• Community education series
• Internal facilitator training
  
  

Recordings will NOT be sold, commercially licensed, or distributed to third parties without your express written permission.

You retain full ownership and rights to your presentation and may reuse, publish, distribute, or teach your material independently at any time.

Emerald Valley guest speaker sessions are always free to attend and fully volunteer-based.

We never charge admission or access fees—your contribution helps keep psilocybin education free, inclusive, and community-supported.

Depending on the permission level you selected, your session may be recorded to support educational access.

Internal Use Includes:

• Student learning portal
• Alumni access
• Community education programming
• Internal staff training

If you opt into Public Use:

• Educational social media clips
• Newsletter highlights
• Website educational archive
• Non-commercial outreach

Your Rights:

• You retain full ownership of your content.
• You may reuse or distribute your presentation independently at any time.
• Emerald Valley receives a non-exclusive, royalty-free license based on the permission tier you chose.
• You may revoke permission at any time in writing.
• We will always credit you by name and professional details unless you request anonymity.

Permission for the selected usage remains valid unless you revoke it in writing.
If revoked, Emerald Valley will discontinue future use of the recording but may retain archived copies for internal compliance and historical recordkeeping.

Emerald Valley will always credit you by name and, where applicable, link to your website, practice, or organization.

By signing below, I confirm that:

• I am voluntarily contributing my time as a guest speaker.
• I understand my session may be recorded.
• I reviewed the Recording Use & Rights section and selected my preferred permission level.
• I reviewed and agree to the Media Release & Recording Permission.
• My presentation will not be used commercially without my written consent.
• I retain ownership of my original content.
• I understand this engagement is not financially compensated.
