  • Pure Life Theatre is thrilled to announce auditions for August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone, a profound exploration of identity, freedom, and the search for belonging. Set in a Pittsburgh boarding house in 1911, this play weaves together the stories of formerly enslaved people and their descendants navigating the Great Migration and seeking their place in a new world.

We're seeking a diverse ensemble of actors ready to bring August Wilson's poetic language and rich characters to life. This production requires a significant commitment and offers the opportunity to be part of one of American theatre's most important works.
