We are seeking responsible, experienced, and professional Independent Pet-Sitting Contractors to join our team.
Position Summary
As an Independent Contractor with Avery’s Animal Care, you will provide in-home pet-sitting services, including feeding, walking, cleaning, administering medications, and monitoring pets’ health and behavior. Contractors are expected to maintain clear communication with clients, follow all company policies, and act professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Provide pet care services as scheduled, regardless of weather conditions. Handle feeding, walking, exercise, and general care for pets according to client instructions. Administer medications as directed, and report any unusual behavior or health concerns immediately. Maintain accurate records of each visit in the Provided app, including start/end times, notes on intake and output, photos, and observations. Conduct meet-and-greet visits with prospective clients at their home (with the client present). Collect detailed pet information, including daily routines, medications, feeding schedules, behavior, and emergency contacts. Ensure pet safety during all visits, including during inclement weather. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene, including cleaning up messes, muddy paw prints, or other accidents. Perform additional client requests included in sitting fee: bring in packages and mail, water plants, set out and bring in trash and recycle bins Follow all company policies regarding keys, lockboxes, alarm codes, client property, and confidential information. Seek guidance from the Company if unsure how to perform any aspect of care.
