What will the judges be looking for?
The judges will be assessing entries based on several key criteria. They will consider palatability and flavour (where applicable), focusing on how great the product tastes and whether it offers a unique or distinctive flavour. Technology will also be evaluated—judges will look for innovative use of new technologies and environmentally friendly solutions. The aesthetic appeal of the product is important too, including how it looks, its visual appeal, and whether it stands out. Novelty will be assessed by determining how fun, different, or original the product is, and whether it represents a new or entrepreneurial idea. Finally, the judges will review the commercial prospects of each entry, considering what makes the product marketable and commercially viable.
