OIDF Community Day 2026

Free dance classes are available for dancers ages 9–14 with previous dance experience, featuring training in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and West African Dance led by professional artists of the Oklahoma International Dance Festival (OIDF). Community Dance Day will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 4:10 PM at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center in downtown Oklahoma City. The day includes a series of structured classes for ages 9–14, with a final West African Dance class open to all ages. Spots are limited and fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.To ensure a comfortable experience, dancers should bring: - A water bottle - A light snack and lunch - Dance attire (if available) or comfortable clothing to move in - Layers such as long sleeves and pants, as studios can be cool. As part of their participation, each registered dancer will receive a code for one complimentary ticket to an OIDF performance during the festival.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

N CONSIDERATION OF the risk of injury that exists while participating in the OKLAHOMA INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL – COMMUNITY DAY OF DANCE (hereinafter the “Activity”); andIN CONSIDERATION OF my desire to participate in said Activity and being given the right to participate in the same;I HEREBY, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives (collectively, “Releasor,” “I,” or “me,” which terms shall also include Releasor’s parent or guardian if under 18 years of age), knowingly and voluntarily enter into this Waiver and Release of Liability and hereby waive any and all rights, claims, or causes of action of any kind arising out of my participation in the Activity.I HEREBY release and forever discharge Oklahoma International Dance Festival, located at 4 NE 10th St, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73104, as well as the owners, lessors, and operators of any facilities where the Activity takes place, including but not limited to Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, and their affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, representatives, predecessors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”), from any and all liability for any physical or psychological injury, illness, damage, or loss that I may suffer as a direct or indirect result of my participation in the Activity.I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY ENTIRELY AT MY OWN RISK. I AM AWARE OF THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATION, WHICH MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: physical or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability (including paralysis), economic or emotional loss, and death. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE INJURIES OR OUTCOMES MAY RESULT FROM MY OWN NEGLIGENCE OR THAT OF OTHERS, CONDITIONS RELATED TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE ACTIVITY, OR CONDITIONS AT THE ACTIVITY LOCATION(S). NONETHELESS, I ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN.I FURTHER AGREE to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees against any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action of any kind whatsoever, including attorney’s fees and costs, brought by me or on my behalf.I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE that the Releasees are not responsible for the acts, errors, omissions, or failures of any third party conducting or assisting with any portion of the Activity.In the event that I require medical care or treatment, I authorize Oklahoma International Dance Festival to provide or arrange for emergency medical care deemed necessary, including but not limited to first aid, CPR, AED use, emergency transport, and sharing of medical information with medical personnel. I agree to assume all costs associated with such care and understand that I am responsible for maintaining my own health insurance.I ACKNOWLEDGE that the Activity may test my physical and mental limits and may involve the risk of serious injury, death, or property loss. I agree not to participate unless I am medically able and properly prepared, and I agree to abide by all decisions of Oklahoma International Dance Festival staff regarding my participation.I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS WAIVER AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. I EXPRESSLY AGREE TO RELEASE AND DISCHARGE THE RELEASEES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION AND VOLUNTARILY WAIVE ANY RIGHT THAT I OTHERWISE HAVE TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.To the extent permitted by law, this release includes claims based on the negligence of the Releasees.I agree that this Release shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict of law principles. This document constitutes the entire agreement and supersedes any prior understandings or agreements.In the event that any provision of this Release is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.I further agree that I am responsible for any damage to equipment or facilities caused by my actions, or those of my family or agents, whether due to negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct.THIS WAIVER SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR THE DURATION OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITY, INCLUDING ALL RELATED EVENTS.

PHOTO AND IMAGE RELEASE (FOR MINOR PARTICIPANT) I, the undersigned, am the parent or legal guardian of the minor named below and have the legal authority to execute this release on their behalf. I hereby grant to Oklahoma International Dance Festival (OIDF), its representatives, employees, and agents, the irrevocable right and permission to photograph, film, or otherwise record my child’s image, voice, or likeness during participation in the Community Day of Dance. I authorize the use of such recordings or images in any and all media formats, including but not limited to printed publications, social media, promotional materials, and websites, for the purpose of publicity, marketing, and documentation. I understand and agree that: These materials will become the property of OIDF and will not be returned. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished media or printed matter that may include my child’s image or likeness. No compensation will be provided for the use of such materials. I release and hold harmless Oklahoma International Dance Festival, its employees, agents, affiliates, and representatives from any liability or claims arising out of the use of my child’s image or likeness.
