  • The Prince George’s County (MD) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and White Rose Foundation, Incorporated are delighted to announce the launch of our scholarship program, offering college scholarships to deserving students in our vibrant community. 

    Scholarships are meant to offset the cost of tuition, fees, books, supplies, or equipment for high school seniors and continuing college students who identify as Black/African American and possess a strong desire for academic excellence and leadership, who have a financial need and will be full-time college students beginning Fall 2026.

    Members of Prince George’s County (MD) The Links, Incorporated, their family members, or major contributors are ineligible to receive a scholarship.

    Purpose: To identify Prince George's County graduating high school seniors who possess a strong desire for academic excellence, leadership positions in student organizations, and plan on enrolling into an four-year college/university in the Fall 2026 semester.

    Reward: Students selected will each receive a $2,000 non-renewable scholarship for financial assistance for college.

    Qualifications: Candidates for the High-School Scholarship must meet the following criteria to qualify:

    • Applicant must reside in Prince George’s County, Maryland
    • Applicant must be in the graduating Class of 2026 from Prince George's County High Schools
    • Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
    • Applicant identifies as Black/ African-American
    • Applicant must show demonstrated financial need

    Acceptance Requirements: To receive this award candidates must submit the following documents:

    • Final official transcripts
    • College/University Acceptance letter 

    Awards will be announced by April 20 and will be disbursed directly to the college or university in August 2026.

    Application must be submitted by March 6, 2026 at 11:59pm (EST).

        • Applicant must major in arts related field
      • Health & Human Services Scholarship
        • Applicant must major in a health or medical science field
      • International Trends & Services
        • Applicant must major in International Relations, Public Policy, Social Justice, Global Affairs, or a related field
      • Services to Youth STEM Scholarship
        • Applicant must attend Bowie State University in Fall 2026
        • Applicant must major in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) field
    • Personal Statement 
    • In your personal statement, describe your academic and leadership accomplishments, career goals, and your financial need.

    • Please submit one letter of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be from a counselor or teacher addressing the student’s academic and leadership accomplishments, awards and/or financial need. Recommendation letters are not accepted from relatives or family members.
