I understand that volunteering to work and participate in a community cleanup effort is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not participate unless I am physically able and in good physical condition. I assume all risks associated with volunteering and participating in this event, including, but not limited to: falls, lifting heavy objects, the effect of weather, conditions of the walkway surfaces, riverbanks, roadways traffic and all such risks being known and appreciated by me.
I understand by having read this release, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, under whose authority water quality in effect for the West Prong in sections covered by this cleanup is as follows: "Warning, this water is contaminated. No swimming, wading or fishing."
I understand and agree that I have been so advised, to avoid bodily contact with the water in the West Prong, to refrain from hand to mouth contact during the handling of trash and other debris removed from the river banks and to wash and sanitize my hands as soon as possible following cleanup activities. I understand and agree that I have been advised to not handle glass, sharps, coolers, or open any closed containers.
Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Keep Sevier Beautiful, the Board of Directors, the County of Sevier, the cities of Gatlinburg, Sevierville, and Pigeon Forge and all agents, employees, elected officials and members thereof, jointly and separately, and all further sponsors, their representatives, and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the event, even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
I also grant permission to all the foregoing to use any photograph, motion pictures or recordings, or any record of this event for legitimate purposes.
Please note: ALL children 12 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult to participate.
