If the parent/guardian's name is not listed on the lease or mortgage statement, an Affidavit of Residency form is required.

This form needs to be signed and notarized by the owner of the property and the parent/guardian applying.

Click this link for the: Affidavit Of Residency form

Families will want to click "save and continue later" once they have filled in all the information on the application.

  • Sibling & Employee Information:

Siblings & Employees of WIMA/WIHI/WEOC are given priority when applying, if all application requirements are met. Even with priority, placement is not guaranteed. Please list sibling information accurately, as siblings & employees will be verified.
  • Applying with a Sibling

For families who have NO siblings currently attending WIMA or WIHI, but applying together with a sibling for WIMA or WIHI.
  • Please note: Each student must submit their own application in order to be considered for admission.

Including sibling information in this section only provides priority consideration during the lottery and/or waitlist process if all application requirements have been met.

Entering sibling information here does not count as submitting an application for that sibling.

If you have any questions, please contact the Enrollment Coordinator, Kelly Cartwright.

  • Employee Information:

Employees of WIMA/WIHI/WEOC are given priority when applying, as long as all application requirements have been met. Please be sure to list your information accurately, as employees will be verified.
  • Parent/Legal Guardian Information:

In the state of Michigan, a step-parent or guardian is considered a “legal stranger”, even when married to a biological parent.  This means that they have no legal claim to children. The situation changes if a legal adoption takes place or the court has granted guardianship over the student. For this reason, step -parents and non-court ordered guardians can not sign the application or any school forms. All school forms must be signed by the student's legal parent/guardian. Any questions about this, please contact Enrollment Coordinator, Kelly Cartwright, at Kcartwright@wihi.org.

  • Special Educational Services

  • WIHI and WIMA operate as programs rather than full school districts, we do not have access to all district-level special education services.

We provide Teacher Consultant (TC) support and work collaboratively with our partner districts and the WISD to coordinate necessary ancillary services, such as social work, speech, and occupational therapy.

Please note that resource room classes and self-contained special education classrooms are not available at WIHI or WIMA.

For students with an active IEP, a review meeting will be held with the student’s district Special Education Director and team, along with our Teacher Consultants, to review and discuss the student’s service needs, prior to the lottery.

The district will determine whether WIHI or WIMA is considered the student’s Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

Once a determination has been made, any follow-up questions should be directed to the district’s Special Education Director.

Please note: WIHI and WIMA reserve the right to unenroll any student if it is determined that required special education information was knowingly omitted or falsified during the application or enrollment process.

  • If your student is conditionally accepted into WIHI through their home district, they may have the option to participate in the School of Choice (SOC) Pool.
