    Join us for an empowering and eye-opening training on Marijuana as a holistic alternative for healing. Led by Uzma Zakir, RPh, founder of bloom Higher, this session explores the science, safety, and lived possibilities of plant medicine. Uzma is a pharmacist and cannabis-care expert with nearly a decade of experience supporting patients in Connecticut’s medical cannabis program. She blends research, clinical insight, and traditional pharmacy training to offer a grounded, evidence-informed approach to Cannabis care. 


    Uzma has presented nationally, hosted a popular webinar series, and now practices privately alongside two internal medicine physicians in Stamford, CT. Her work supports individuals living with chronic illness, anxiety, autism, cannabis use disorder, and more—offering both clinical guidance and energetic healing. She also serves on the boards of the Recovery Network of Programs and the CT Cannabis Small Business Alliance. Through bloomHigher, her vision is to expand understanding of plant medicine through education, innovative healing tools, and compassionate support. 


    Participants will learn to: 
    • Understand the basics of Marijuana—what it is and how it works in the body 
    • Identify evidence-based benefits for anxiety, pain, sleep, and overall wellness 
    • Evaluate safe dosing guidelines and product types 
    • Recognize legal, ethical, and harm-reduction considerations when supporting community members exploring Marijuana

With experience treating patients in Connecticut’s medical cannabis program since 2015, she blends research, clinical insight, and traditional pharmacy training to offer a unique, evidence-informed approach.
