HCC hold civil liability insurance, all of our associate members whether that be of our core team or any associate members that may work for us will have their own insurance to cover any work*
Evacuation by Foot There are additional costs involved in this type of evacuation due to the manpower required to get a person off the mountain. Evacuation on a Stretcher- due to the distance involved, requires a substantial amount of manpower to get the person down and could take up to 12 people, and would cost 500USD or 50,000KES. Assisted Descent- In this circumstance the person would be in a good enough state to walk slowly and would have porters at hand to help in the event that their condition would deteriorate. This would involve 4 porters and would cost 150USD of 15,000kes. Please be aware that by choosing to climb with us you would be expected to pay this additional fee in the un-likely event that you would need to be evacuated by foot. PAYMENT
Deposit and Confirmation: A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking with Highland Climbing Company. This deposit becomes non-refundable within 90 days of your scheduled trip start date. Final Payment: The remaining balance (70%) is due no later than 90 days before the trip. Once the full payment has been made, it becomes non-refundable within this 90-day period. Cancellations by Participant: If you are unable to attend, Highland Climbing Company will make every reasonable effort to rearrange your trip for a future date. Please note that rebooking options are subject to availability and operational constraints. Cancellations by Highland Climbing Company: In the unlikely event that Highland Climbing Company must cancel a trip, a suitable alternative program or date will be arranged.
