I'm Jason, a TinyTalk baby signing teacher! I've been running in-person baby signing classes in my home region of Bedfordshire for the past 7 years. I now want to spread the baby signing love even further, offering online baby signing classes using BSL signs to families everywhere in the UK - and beyond. Thanks for joining me!

What is baby signing?

Signing with your baby is a great tool to give your baby a voice while they are non-verbal and can really help in easing some of the frustrations your little one feels when they are unable to communicate what they want. It’s fun too! You'll sing lots of nursery rhymes and learn a different set of themed British Sign Language (BSL) signs each week. Each week we'll also focus on a different developmental activity designed to support your baby's early communication skills.

My new online baby signing classes for spring term 2026 include:

• 12 weeks of baby signing
• Weekly classes Tuesday at 10.00am (UK time)
• Initial class limited to only 15 families!
• Learn over 50 baby signs to use with your baby over the course of the term
• British Sign Language (BSL) signs
• Each week we have a different theme (bathtime, snacktime, going to the park etc)
• Learn signs by singing traditional nursery rhymes and action songs
• Each week we will also focus on a different developmental activity designed to boost your baby's early communication skills
• Every third week is a recap week where we revise signs learnt in previous 2 weeks
• Classes via Zoom (you are welcome to disable your camera/mic if you’d prefer)
• 30-40 minutes of taught class
• Followed by 20-30 minutes of social time - you can make a cuppa, unmute and we can chat as a group about baby signing, baby development, or anything you want to talk about, baby related or not

In addition you will also get:

• Class video available for 7 days after each class via private YouTube link
• A private WhatsApp group for your class (opt out available)
• Core signs recap video weekly (via email & WhatsApp)
• Print quality PDF certificates marking your baby’s early communication (waving, pointing, clapping) and signing milestones for you to print at home | certificates also emailed as a PNG image to save to your camera roll! Printed and/or framed certificates available to be posted to you as an extra.

Term dates

Tuesday, 6 January 2026 - Tuesday, 31 March 2026 (with a week half-term break with no class Tuesday, 17 February). Class runs weekly 10.00am-11.00am (UK time).

Payment plans

Pay for all 12 classes up front for £78 (£6.50 per class)

Pay over 4 months via subscription (£21 per month / £84 for the term / £7.00 per class)

A subscription allows you to pay for your classes monthly (each term's payments taken over 4 months). Your first payment will be taken on completion of this registration followed by a further 3 monthly payments over the next consecutive months. Please note that this means some payments will still be taken before the start of term. 

What you will need for classes

• You and your baby
• A laptop, smart phone or tablet with Zoom app installed
  
  • Developmental tools (I will let you know before class each week which of these we will be using):
  • Ball or sensory shape
  • Scarf (juggling scarf, tea towel or similar)
  • Small Mirror (a baby mirror, toy with mirror, or at a push a compact mirror or similar)
  • Baby shaker, rattle or other noisemaker
  • Flashing ball (optional)

You are welcome to provide your own of all of these things or you can buy a sensory development pack from me including most of these things (just not the scarf, which I can’t supply for health and safety reasons) for £16. For health and safety reasons, all developmental tools used in class should be held and manipulated only by yourself, unless directed otherwise by myself.

Please note: for health and safety reasons I can't include a scarf in this pack. You will need ot provide your own voile juggling scarf, tea towel, cotton scarf or similar for classes where we'll be using these.

Privacy & local updates

Here at TinyTalk we take your privacy seriously and we only use your personal information to provide the services you have requested from us.

Your email address is used to send any class booking forms or future booking forms you may need to fill in. It may also be helpful to have your mobile number to text you should I need to cancel classes. In addition I may need to contact you should there be any changes or amendments to your class due to adverse weather, illness or any other factors outside of my control. Also I would like to send you class news, term dates and other developments.

Permission to Photograph, Video and Use Feedback

At TinyTalk we occasionally film our classes and take photographs of clever babies signing and happy families enjoying the class! We also like to get feedback from parents / carers about the classes and anecdotes about how baby signing has made a difference to you and your little one. We like to show how much fun the classes are and how rewarding signing can be - and use the photographs, videos and your comments on our website or on Social Media platforms, such as my TinyTalk Facebook page or my own Mini-site, www.tinytalk.co.uk/jasonm.

Any photographs or comments used will always be captioned with first names only, for example, Rhys signs “milk”; or “the TinyTalk class is our favourite activity of the week!”, Fiona, mum to Euan, 15 months. No surnames will ever be used. Videos may also be taken during a class, either for training purposes or for promotional purposes. Please indicate below your level of permission for me to use your feedback comments / anecdotes, photographs and / or videos of you and your family by checking the declarations below. Thank you.
