HB Rehearsal Space Residency - 2026 Application
Welcome and thank you for your interest in HB Studio’s Rehearsal Space Residency. This residency is dedicated to supporting theatre artists in the development of innovative new works and the deepening of their creative practice. Our primary goal is to create a nurturing environment, free from commercial pressures, where practising theatre artists can collaborate on experimental projects, engage in meaningful exploration, and receive constructive feedback from peers and colleagues.

We believe in the power of collaboration and peer support as essential elements of artistic growth. This opportunity encourages artists to push boundaries, challenge conventional storytelling, and share workshop presentations, fostering a community of feedback and mutual growth. It’s important to note that the residency focuses on rehearsal and development rather than production, and we are unlikely to select projects primarily intended for showcasing existing work.

Applications are due by December 15, 2025, and selected projects will be announced in January 2026. We wholeheartedly welcome artists of all backgrounds and identities to apply.
