Birth to Five Illinois Grant Application

Birth to Five Illinois is issuing $75,000 in Planning Grants (funded by the Early Childhood Governance and Finance Project) to groups seeking to establish new Early Childhood Collaborations in areas where they currently do not exsist. Early Childhood Collaborations all across the State have found solutions to their local Early Care and Education challenges, often with little to no funding. Birth to Five Illinois strives to support these local efforts by providing funding directly to community driven systems-building.

This application is intended to provide an opportunity for applicants to describe their plans for developing a new Local Early Childhood Collaboration and demonstrate their capacity to utilize the available funding. Birth to Five Illinois is fully aware that larger organizations with the ability to dedicate staff toward grant writing are often at an advantage when seeking supplemental funding. Therefore, the selection panel will score each submission on content rather than style. By simplifying this application, we hope to make the process an accessible one for groups of all sizes. Applicants may save progress and return to complete the application. The information submitted may be used by Birth to Five Illinois to describe funded grants.
