  • 2026 Nomination form for the EurAAP Per-Simon Kildal Award for PhD in Antennas & Propagation

  • DESCRIPTION: 

    This award has been created through a donation from the Per-Simon Kildal Foundation (https://www.kildal.se/foundation/), initiated by Cécile Schilliger, Madeleine Schilliger Kildal and Susanne Schilliger Kildal, in memory of their husband and father, Professor Per-Simon Kildal (1951-2016). Since 2018, the Award is established by the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP).

    NOTES:

    • This is a nomination Award, self-nomination is not allowed.
    • The information in the form may not be saved if you close or clear the form.
    • The nominator should note that the selection will be made based only on the contributions made during the course of the nominee's PhD.
    • A copy of your responses will be sent to your email after submitting the form.

    GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE FORM SECTIONS:

    1. NOMINEE: (Self-nominations will not be considered). Name, professional affiliation and title, address, email, education, description of current activities, achievement pertinent for the award and justification of its relevance. Proposed citation.
    2. NOMINATOR (person filling the form): Name, professional affiliation and title, address, email, relationship to the nominee.
    3. FILE UPLOAD: In this section you will be able to upload a PDF with biography and endorsement letter and fill in the name, address and email of the endorsement.

  • Candidates for the award must be nominated by their PhD supervisor. Eligible for the award are those who successfully defended their PhD at an academic institution in Europe in a field related to Antennas and Propagation.

  • Nomination/endorsement by members of the Awards Committee is not allowed. If a member of the Committee wishes to nominate/endorse a candidate, he/she will be replaced in the committee for two years.

     

    Note that it is expected between 2 and 3 endorsement letters.

     

    Expected information in letters and limitations.

    • Letters should include the name, address, and email of the endorser. In addition, they should specify how long and in what capacity they have known the candidate. 
    • Note that there are no restrictions on the number of pages/words. The only limitation is the number of files and their size.
    • Nominator's CV should not be uploaded.
    • Nomination letter from PhD supervisor.
    • Extended abstract of the PhD thesis (maximum 6 pages).
    • Endorsers.

     

    Files information:

    • There is a maximum limit of seven files (3 publications, 1 extended abstract, and 3 letter files). Files exceeding this limit will not be considered.
