    SCHOLARSHIPS OPEN TO CALVERT COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS
  • BEFORE STARTING YOUR APPLICATION:

    We strongly recommend that applicants review scholarship provider eligibility requirements and gather required documentation before starting this application.  You can find scholarship specific requirements here: Calvert Local Scholarship Application - Info

    Please use the required documents checklist as your guide to complete the application. Review and re-read your CLSA form before you click SUBMIT.


    CHECKLIST: 
    🔲 Begin the 2026 CLSA Application on www.clsap.org

    🔲 Upload CURRENT Transcript. Please request One (1) electronic official High School Transcript and/or one (1)  electronic official College    Transcript from your school

    🔲 Upload SAT/ACT – Students may use a copy of the SAT/ACT official report sent with test scores or downloaded from www.collegeboard.org  (there may be more than one SAT/ ACT Report)

    🔲 Upload Student Resume

    🔲 Upload Two (2) Letters of Recommendation – Original, one each: an Academic Recommendation and a Community Recommendation     

    🔲 Upload Requested Essay as required from specific Scholarship Providers

    🔲 Upload Requested 2-minute MP3 file as required from specific Scholarship Providers

    Note: FAFSA Submission Summary for the 2025–2026 award year (FAFSA® Application | Federal Student Aid). Not required at submission; however, upon request by a scholarship provider, students must be prepared to submit a copy of their summary before consideration for a scholarship

    ​TIPS:

    1. Save required essays in the following format: Student name and scholarship provider. 
      1. Essays:  (example - jane_doe_CONCERNED BLACK WOMEN)
    2. Save all other documents in the following format: student’s first and last name.
      1. Other documents: (example -  jane_doe​_SAT)
    3. Email Address: This is REQUIRED as all correspondence will be directed to the email address you specified on the application. 
    4. Ethnicity: Indicate your primary ethnic identification. This field is REQUIRED if you are applying for an ethnicity-specific scholarship.
    5. College acceptance letters are optional for all applicants. EXCEPTION: several providers now require Acceptance Letters, please review scholarship eligibility requirements. Upload a copy of a college acceptance letter in Section III.

     

    IMPORTANT:

    For fairness and equal opportunity, the CLSA will not notify applicants of incomplete CLSA applications.

    The CLSA Manager CANNOT ACCEPT APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT MEET THE DEADLINE, NOR ACCEPT CORRECTIONS, ADDITIONAL MATERIAL, OR CHANGES OF ANY KIND, AFTER THE MARCH 6, 2026 DEADLINE.

    *The CLSA Manager holds all applicant information confidentially and stores all applications on a secure server. Only Scholarship Provider(s) indicated on an individual’s application are provided with the student’s CLSA application.

Students should ask two individuals who have worked with, taught, mentored, coached the student to write a letter of recommendation that will attest to the student’s character, achievement, and future success.
