This award is sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim and is announced by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies.
The award is given in recognition of outstanding and innovative scientific work from all areas of neuroscience research. The personal prize amounts to 25,000 EUR.
Candidates must be maximum 15 years post PhD at the nomination deadline, excluding any periods of documented parental or health-related leave
Candidates may either apply themselves or be proposed by a fellow neuroscientist. Candidates should either be of European origin or affiliated with a European institution.
The Boehringer Ingelheim FENS Research Award 2026 will be presented during the FENS Forum 2026 in Barcelona. The prize winner will give a special lecture at the meeting.
Nominations must be submitted online (by filling in the form below) by 12 December 2025.
The deadline for submission of recommendation letters is 14 December 2025.
