• Brighton & Hove Pride LGBTQ+ Community Parade Application Form

  • We are excited that you wish to be part of the Brighton & Hove Pride LGBTQ+ Community Parade on Saturday 1st August, 2026.

Below you will find details explaining the definitions for groups and organisations. Participation fees will be provided upon application. Please note: Due to the cost of delivery and infrastructure of the parade, we have had to put a slight increase on some fees. We work hard to ensure that the LGBTQ+ Community Parade remains financially accessible to local LGBTQ+ groups.

Due to capacity restrictions, LGBTQ+ groups are prioritised and all other applications are subject to a ballot. If you are allocated a provisional place, it is not guaranteed until full payment has been made and all required documentation, health and safety paperwork has been submitted and checked.

  • Definitions & Important Information

  • Float

A Parade Float is a platform that is decorated for display in a Parade, with the Platform attached to or forming part of a vehicle such as a truck/flatbed. Larger trailers can have decorations and props as well as participants who stand on the platform forming part of the display.

    Vintage Vehicles

Following feedback and in line with Brighton Pride's Sustainability Plan, we are unable to permit Vintage Vehicles as part of a Parade entry.

Vintage vehicles, although lovely, are not necessarily suited to a slow-moving parade due to the high-level emissions. Brighton Pride is committed to delivering a sustainable event and vehicle emissions are an important part of reducing the impact of pollution in the city.

We would like all parade participants to think along sustainable lines and consider using newer vehicles and even where possible electric alternatives.
