Criteria/guidelines for nominations: 
- Project or initiative must be focused on Downtown San Diego.
- Occur within the timeframe of January 2025 – January 2026.

Government Partner of the Year Award 
Presented to an individual from a city, county, state, or other government partner in recognition of their work to ensure Downtown is a vibrant and dynamic economic center.
Cultural Vitality Award
Presented in recognition of contributions to the vibrancy of Downtown San Diego’s communities and culture. NOTE: This award can be given in recognition of an individual, organization, project, or collaborative effort which impacted the cultural vitality of Downtown San Diego.
The Jim Dawe Humanitarian Award
Presented to an individual or organization in recognition of humanitarian efforts that have enriched and improved our urban center, its neighborhoods, and its residents.
Community Impact and Inclusion Award
Presented to an organization in recognition of its commitment to fostering a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment within its organization and the community — whose efforts uplift vulnerable or unhoused populations and create meaningful opportunities for all individuals to thrive. NOTE: Eligible organizations include those based in Downtown, those whose services or activities are focused primarily in Downtown, or Downtown Partnership members.
Small Business of the Year Award
Presented to a small business that has positively contributed to the growth, vibrancy, and connection of the Downtown community over the past year through their mission or work. NOTE: Small business location or primary activities must be based in Downtown San Diego in order to be eligible.
Founders Award
Presented in recognition of career-spanning visionary leadership to better Downtown San Diego.
Create the Future Award
Presented in recognition of projects, initiatives or efforts that are shaping the future of Downtown’s economic prosperity and the unique live, work, play environment of our urban neighborhoods. NOTE: Both completed, or in-progress initiatives, efforts or projects are eligible for recognition in this category.
