Call for Lead and Associate Artists: 2026 Fremont Healthy Culture Hub Youth Arts Project
The Role the Lead Artist/Designer in this project will be:

1. To participate in story/image gathering process and events with the Core Youth Arts Team to inform the designs for the artwork

2. To mentor the Core Youth Arts team to foster youth in the development of skills in visual art and design

3. To lead the team to design, create and guide installation of public art to share the stories..

Timeline

December 2025/January 2026 – Planning curriculum

February 2026 – Youth Art Workshops and Skills Building Work

March-April 20026 – Story Gathering and Design

May 2026 – Complete Artwork, Celebration, Fremont Art and Wellness Festival

Requirements

1.Experience in visual arts and public art

2. Experience working with youth and community

3. Familiarity, experience and connection with South Central Los Angeles

Compensation

Lead Artist $7000; Associate Artist $3500
