Call for Lead and Associate Artists: 2026 EXPO/USC Good Neighbors Youth Arts Project
The Role the Lead Artist/Designer in this project will be:

1. To participate in story/image gathering process and events with the Core Youth Arts Team to inform the designs for the artwork

2. To mentor the Core Youth Arts team to foster youth in the development of skills in visual art and design

3. To lead the team in the creating and completing the temporary work of public art.

Timeline

December/January 2026 – Artist onboarding, planning curriculum

February 2026 – Youth Art Workshops and Skills Building Work

March-April 2026– Story Gathering and Design

May 2026 – Youth Arts Workshop Culmination

June-July 2026 – Complete Artwork, Celebration

Requirements

1.Experience in visual arts and public art

2. Experience working with youth and community

3. Familiarity, experience and connection with Exposition Park area of South Central Los Angeles

Compensation

$4000 Lead Artist; $2000 Associate Artist
