2026 Merle Fister Veteran Scholarship Application

Deadline is on Friday, January 31, 2026.
The Tempe Chamber Military Affairs Committee is proud to offer an annual $1,000.00 scholarship for a deserving US Military Veteran or active member in Arizona. Awards are based on character, leadership, academic pursuits, and financial need.

Application Requirements
- Application must be submitted by Friday, January 31, 2026 (final date).
- Copy of DD214 with redacted SSN
- Short essay including career goals
- Letter of recommendation from a recent supervisor, manager, or a senior officer
Applicant Qualifications
- Must be an active member of the military or veteran, reservist, or member of the national guard
- Must currently attend or have been accepted into an accredited college or trade school
Scholarship applicants may be interviewed or asked for additional information during the selection process. The scholarship will be a part of the Military Affairs Red, White & Blue Awards Ceremony to be held on February 25, 2026. If selected, your attendance is requested at this event in person or through virtual methods.
