  • Thank you for your interest in the Senior Staff position of Under-Secretary-General for National Model United Nations•DC 2026. The Secretary-General will now be accepting applications via the form below. Don't hesitate to reach out with any specific questions you may have at secgen.dc@nmun.org.

    Deadline:

    • Your application must be received no later than Sunday, 7 December 2025 by 11:59PM EST. There will be no exceptions or extensions.
    • Applicants will be notified of the status of their application by the end of December 2025.

    Financial and Time Commitments to Consider:

    • Volunteers must be able to commit to a leadership role during an extensive Writing Process, lasting from February through July 2026.
    • Volunteers must be available to attend NMUN•DC 2026 on 5 November 2026 for training, and 6-8 November 2026 for conference.
    • Senior Staff are expected to arrive for training before 6:00PM EST on 4 November 2026.
    • Shared lodging and some transportation costs are paid by NMUN.

    Hiring and Staffing Considerations:

    The NMUN•DC Senior Staff team consists of the Secretary-General and three Under-Secretaries-General (USGs). Senior Staff generally operate as a mutually reinforcing interdependent team, though each USG may have slightly different responsibilities.
