Educator - Film Screening Permission Request
  • Educator-Film Screening Request

    "Community Screeners"
  • While educators sometimes have certain rights under Copyright Law to show films in connection with educational purposes, certain educational uses and community screenings do not necessarily eliminate the need for a license to screen such films. To simplify the license process for educators, WQED Multimedia (“WQED”) allows educators to request permission to use certain films through this screening request form. In the event a license is necessary for a screening, or in the event an individual chooses not to investigate whether a License is necessary, WQED Multimedia (“WQED”) allows individuals to request permission to use certain films for certain non-commercial purposes through its Community Screening Request Form (the "Request Form"), which incorporates the terms and conditions in this document. Nothing in the request form obligates WQED to provide you with the actual film for screening. The Community Screening Request Form, together with these Terms and Conditions, create a limited license for the use of a requested Film.

By submitting the Request Form, you (the “Educator”) acknowledge and accept the following terms for the screening of the single selected WQED documentary (the “Film”) as part of a non-commercial, instructional or educational community event (each, a “Community Screening”). The Community Screening must occur within the scope and timeframe described in your request (the, “Screening Term”), and subject to the additional terms and conditions described herein.

  • Community Screening Details

Please provide details of your screening event. Note: Screening the same film on multiple dates is allowed via this form. If you wish to screen multiple films, you need to submit one request per Film title.
