General Participation Guidelines
EVENT DATES: Held the first weekend in December. Friday/Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. AND Sunday, noon-4:00 p.m. Reminder: vendors do not need to be present for the sale. This is a fantastic way to be in multiple locations for the weekend!
PARTICIPATION FEE: The fee for participation is 30% commission from sales plus a $25.00 registration fee (non-refundable) to cover increasing costs associated with the sale including promotion and printing. This registration fee is waived for current CCHS members as part of their annual membership benefits. If you are interested in CCHS membership, please contact the CCHS office.
APPLICATION: Space for the Stocking Stuffer sale is limited. I will know after September 1st as to how many vendor spots I have left to fill. I will contact and provide applications to interested new vendors after the 1st of the month.
QUALITY: There is a strong emphasis on the quality of antiques and crafts offered for sale. Antiques should be no less than 50 years old and in good taste. Collectables of local interest are also welcome. Crafts must truly fit the definition of “hand crafted.” Food items must be produced in a commercial kitchen/bakery and include clear labeling of ingredents and allergens. CCHS reserves the right to exclude items outside of our criteria.
Event Details
SET UP: Monday and Tuesday the week of the event.
CHECK OUT: Pick up unsold items on Monday after the event.
INVENTORY: An inventory item list must be filled out and with your items when you check in. We utilize a central check out system. EACH item must be clearly labeled with a unique identifier and a price, and inventory properly accounted for prior to set-up. Vendors are asked to check their remaining inventory for accuracy against an end-of-sale on-hand inventory count. A vendor signature will be required to indicate approval of the final inventory figures.
DISPLAY LOCATION: In an effort to utilize the space available in the Mansion to its best advantage, we will create a vendor location map once all applications are received. As a historic house museum, we use the majority of our museum furniture which includes dresser tops, side tables, sofas and beds.
SUPPLY: We are happy to replenish your display for you as displays look best when they are full. Excess merchandise may be stored underneath a table or nearby for the remainder of the sale.
SECURITY: The sale areas will be monitored, but the Centre County Historical Society cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items.
