The PLANT AMERICA: Blue & Gold Star Memorial Beautification Program is a joint initiative of National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC) and Keep America Beautiful (KAB). The program supports projects that remove litter, plant flowers and greenery, and beautify Blue Star and Gold Star Memorials nationwide, with a special emphasis on planting red, white, and blue flowers in celebration of America's 250th Anniversary on July 4, 2026.
KAB PARTNERSHIP: Collaboration with local KAB affiliates is encouraged. Working together strengthens community impact and advances the shared mission of NGC and KAB.

GRANT AMOUNT: Grants of up to $1,000 are available for direct project expenses. Approved applicants receive 75% up front and the remaining 25% after submitting a final report.
WHO MAY APPLY: Only NGC member garden clubs may submit applications. Others may assist with the project, but the club must participate.
DEADLINES: Funds will be awarded on March 5, 2026. Projects and final reports must be completed and submitted by August 1, 2026.
FUNDING GUIDELINES: Grant funds cannot be used for:
- Repairing, replacing, or building memorial markers (the grant is strictly for clean-up and beautification)
- Personal benefits, salaries, or paying someone to perform the work
- Projects without active club participation
