We would like to help bring more public art to the town of Jay, NY, and we are asking for YOUR feedback!
In addition to historic buildings, well-tended gardens, beautiful lakes, and clean sidewalks, public art can benefit our town. Public art enriches our lives, draws in tourists, fosters local creative talent, encourages economic growth, and beautifies our communities.
In 2025, the Town of Ticonderoga embarked on a major mural festival event, titled ARTSCAPES: Walls Between Waters. ARTSCAPES is a program aimed at enriching the quaility of life for all of the residents of Essex County, NY. In 2026, Essex County Land Bank hopes to expand ARTSCAPES intiatives into more towns within the county.
Some state-level funding is earmarked for revitalization, and this funding can be used for public art programming. The Essex County Land Bank and the North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC), are evaluating your community's interest in public art, and we are asking Jay residents to participate in this short anonymous survey.
Thank you!
