We, the undersigned students of LIFESCI 2L03, are submitting a formal complaint regarding the grading and evaluation practices in this course. Several aspects of the assessment structure are unclear, inconsistently applied, or not aligned with the written course outline. These issues have resulted in significant grade deductions that were not reasonably communicated or justified.
We respectfully request:
A formal review of the 2L03 grading system for fairness, transparency, and alignment with the course outline.
Removal or adjustment of penalties based on unstated or unclear criteria (e.g., the 90% viewing rule).
Clear, written communication of all assessment requirements, retroactively and moving forward. Fair grade reassessment for students affected by the undisclosed requirements.
