Leadership Energy Profile Logo
  • Leadership Energy Profile

  • The Leadership Energy Profile (LEP) measures how individuals naturally operate by evaluating their preferences across two core dimensions:

Stability ↔ Agility and Control ↔ Connection.

Together, these axes reveal how a person responds to pace, change, structure, collaboration, and autonomy. By plotting these tendencies on the LEP map, the assessment provides a clear visual representation of someone’s natural leadership energy—whether they thrive in steady, predictable environments or fast-moving ones, and whether they influence best through relational connection or independent ownership.

Leaders can gain tremendous insight by assessing an entire team and mapping everyone on a single scatter plot. This collective view highlights balance points, gaps, and natural strengths across the group—helping leaders build better collaboration, align talent to roles, and understand how the team will respond under pressure.

The result is a practical, intuitive understanding of how individuals and teams perform at their best within the four Forge Quadrants of Flame, Hammer, Shield, and Anvil.

  • Instructions

  • This assessment contains 20 statements that describe different ways people work, lead, and respond to their environment. For each statement, rate how accurately it reflects you by selecting one option on the scale from Very Inaccurate to Very Accurate. There are no right or wrong answers. The goal is to understand your natural tendencies across the dimensions of Stability ↔ Agility and Control ↔ Connection.

Answer each item honestly based on how you typically think and behave—not how you believe you should behave or how your role requires you to act. Most people find that several responses fall in the middle of the scale, while others are clearly at one end.

Once completed, your responses will be plotted on the LEP scatter map to identify your natural leadership energy within the Forge Quadrants of Flame, Hammer, Shield, or Anvil. If assessing as part of a team, your results can also be combined with others to create a collective team profile, offering powerful insight into group dynamics and performance.

    Rate each item as:

    1 - Very Inaccurate
    2 - Inaccurate
    3 - Neutral
    4 - Accurate
    5 - Very Accurate

Take your time, answer thoughtfully, and trust your first instinct.
