  • ⭐ Forge Leadership Index — Overview

The Forge Leadership Index (FLI) is a leadership performance assessment designed to reveal how you operate when leading real people through real challenges. It examines the energy you bring into situations, the behaviors you rely on most, and the patterns that emerge when pressure, ambiguity, or friction are introduced. Rather than measuring personality or preference, the FLI focuses on the leadership signals you broadcast every day—signals that shape trust, credibility, influence, and team culture.

The assessment identifies your dominant leadership energy across the four dimensions of the Forge Model—Flame, Shield, Anvil, and Hammer—and shows how those energies interact to form your operational leadership posture. It highlights the ways you naturally approach decisions, communication, conflict, stress, and execution. It also reveals the habits you default to when things get hard: the strengths that remain steady, the tendencies that intensify, and the blind spots that may limit your impact if left unmanaged.

With this insight, leaders gain a clearer understanding of how their behavior is interpreted by others, how they contribute to or detract from team cohesion, and where their greatest opportunities for growth lie. The FLI provides a foundation for intentional leadership—helping you bring the best version of yourself to your team, your mission, and every environment in which you lead.

  • Instructions

  • This assessment contains a series of statements that describe how leaders think, behave, and respond across different operational environments. For each statement, rate how accurately it reflects the way you typically lead and make decisions. The scale ranges from Very Inaccurate to Very Accurate.

There are no right or wrong answers. The FLI does not measure personality — it measures leadership behavior, including how you communicate, take initiative, handle pressure, manage conflict, and influence others.

Respond based on how you actually operate, not how you wish you operated or how you believe your position requires you to act. Your honest first instinct will give the most accurate picture of your leadership energy and behavioral patterns.

When complete, your results will be used to identify your leadership posture across the Forge dimensions and reveal how your behaviors shift under pressure. This insight helps clarify your strengths, stress tendencies, and the leadership habits that shape how others experience you.
